    This class is great for children who have never cooked before. It teaches them the very basics, from common cooking terms to how to mix and bake. There is no stove top cooking or use of sharp knives in this class.

    The objective of this one-day Minecraft Treasure Chest Incentive workshop is for participants to feel more motivated to do homework, thrive under an incentive-based reward system, and be encouraged by their parents, all increasing the motivation to perform better in school! Treasure chests will be provided to students to decorate and parents will receive a "mojo bag" containing stones and tumbled crystals and instructions on how to encourage your child to perform better in school and get better grades!     123301 - Baton Twirling

    Twirl for fun or become a champion. Baton is a great for eye coordination and builds self esteem and team spirit. Students learn basic twirls and move on to more advanced twirls. Routines are taught to incorporate basic twirls with footwork. All students have the opportunity to participate in parades and performances from Main Street Manteca to marching down Main Street in Disneyland. SUPPLIES NOTE: Batons are available to use during class, or may be purchased from the instructor for $35.00.

    123403 - Guitar, Beginning

    Students will meet with the instructor as a group for 60 minutes once a week. This is an introductory guitar class, covering techniques and concepts for playing the guitar. This comprehensive class will introduce students to the basics of all music styles and how the guitar functions in each style. NOTE: Each student must supply their own 6-string acoustic guitar. GK Music may have some guitars available for loan or rent-to-own. A minimum of five students is needed to run class.

    133501 - Babysitter Complete

    Babysitter Certification Program for those ages 11 and up (including adults) who want to learn more about caring for children. Course includes CPR and First-Aid certification, dealing with emergencies, taking care of sick children, indoor and outdoor safety, discipline, basic child development, and skills for entertaining young children. Participants also learn how to write a resume and how to find babysitting jobs! Course certificate and American Heart Association CPR/FA card available upon successful completion.
    NOTES: parents of minor children enrolled into class should escort child to class and pick up from class and bring a sack lunch. Enrollment fee includes course book.

    The Junior Recreation Leader Program is designed to give students a chance to gain leadership skills by assisting staff in leading sports and recreation games, creative projects, and other duties. Participants will work with school-age children in our Summer Camp program! This is considered a volunteer position.
